Manufactured to ASTM A1023 and ASTM A931. ICC-ES Evaluated under listing PMG-1840, Hangers for Pipe, Duct and Conduit Support, to ICC-ES LC1041 and MSS SP-163-2025. Rated loads are for the support assembly only, at a 4:1 factor of safety; attachment to structure is evaluated separately by the design professional or the authority having jurisdiction. Dry locations only, not for fire-protection piping.

Install the cable by inserting it through the cable entry hole.

Then, secure the top nut to lock.

To release, back off the top nut, then press down on the top section to release the wedges. Rotate the nut to lock the setting. Never adjust a device under load.

Devices are sold by the box, cable end fixings by the bag. Cables are sold separately unless the contractor specifically asks for them packed together.

Angled installation
Reduction factors
Multiply the assembly rating by the factor shown, then round down to the nearest 5 lbs. Maximum 60° from vertical. The reduction is taken on the assembly, not on the device rating alone. Multipliers 1.000, 0.966, 0.866, 0.707, 0.500 (PMG-1840 Table 2).

Before you install
Limits that apply on every job
Follow capacity limits
Never overload SSF Cable Assemblies. Refer to the Technical Data Sheets for complete assembly capacities.
Take angle reductions
Assemblies not installed vertically take the published angle reduction, applied to the assembly rating. When cable is looped around round duct, the resulting angle shall not exceed 60°. Y-Accessories and Y-Assemblies may not be installed at angles greater than 60°.
Never join two cables
Never join 2 cables into a single device. Voids engineering and warranty.
Do not use for lifting
Static overhead support only. Not for lifting, rigging, or fall protection.
Dry indoor use only
Not for wet, chlorinated, or otherwise corrosive environments. Use SSF cable only; plastic-coated and third-party cables are not permitted with SSF devices.
Do not paint cables. Keep cables clean.
Install in final position before painting. Devices cannot be adjusted after paint contacts the cable. Cables must be free of oil and fireproofing prior to device installation.
